One of the items that I hope to address as section manager is to improve the lines of communications so that individuals and organizations know what others are up to. I think there's a lot to be gained from some "cross-pollination" between individuals and groups. You or your group may be involved in activities that will inspire and encourage others. And, I sometimes hear from hams that there's just nothing going on. I'd like to show them what opportunities are out there. I's up to section managers to find ways to distribute news about activities in their section. Traditionally, section managers have used their monthly newsletters to spread the word. Are mass emailings like these effective? Is posting the section newsletter on the Indiana ARRL website effective? Should we post smaller articles on the website to promote what's going on? If you have thoughts on this topic, please let me know.
